Sensitive sore skin on tummy

I had my baby 3 weeks ago, she was a big baby at 10lbs 4oz!

Due to her size and the fact I had too much fluid, I was obviously massive when I was pregnant. My tummy was very itchy and numb from just above my belly button right down.

Since having her my tummy is still really really sensitive. It's numb but also sore?! Really hard to describe, it almost feels like that way if you had the flu, even wearing clothes is uncomfortable.

Has anyone else had this? And will it ever stop hurting? The numbness I can deal with but this isn't pleasant at all.

I had this but I had a c- section, I thought it was due to that, my DD wasnt a big baby and my bump not massive. Horrible feeling isn't it, I hated it too! Just like you describe, numb but painful at the same time. It's 10 months post partum now and it has gone. For me it just got better very slowly, but took a long time, much longer than I thought!
Congratulations on your baby! Smile
