Period after birth

When did your period return after you gave birth? I'm not breastfeeding and 4 weeks postpartum and starting to get faint period pains and blood stained discharge

Probably around 6 weeks, forgot how much of a pain it is!

I ebf'd both of my children, and both times my periods came back 4 weeks after birth and were like clockwork from then on.

10 months pp and still no period although I did have the contraceptive injection twice at 4weeks pp and 16 weeks pp so that may be something g to do with it

My first was around 6 weeks after, then nothing for another couple of months and so on and off like that. Took ~15 months to go back to my regular cycle.

DS1 was 12 weeks post partum and strangely came back a year to the day that I'd missed my period because of being pregnant.

DS2 was after 6 weeks.

6 months the first time, 6 weeks the second and third, all breastfed. If not breastfeeding I think they can re start anytime from around 4-6 weeks post partum so it could well be.
