My baby has oral thrush and has been prescribed some Nystan. I've been told to use canesten cream for my nipples...

Do I need to clean that off before feeding?? Also how long do I keep going with the Nystan for?

I'd ring the health visitor is you're unsure, they'll be about to give you a clear answer :)

You need to use nystan 7 days after the thrust has cleared or it’ll just come straight back, also I’d suggest using the canesten on babies bum instead of your nipples and use daktarin gel on nipples which doesn’t need to be wiped off (get over the counter at pharmacy) my baby had thrush and this worked for us
