So had baby 6 weeks this Thursday coming and don't know what's happening with my 6 week check yet. The HV rang me tonight to catch up and said it will probably be over the phone but she'll chase my Dr's (I've just moved house so needed to change Dr's and the new one hasn't processed me yet but has baby and OH).
My question was stitches and normality (!) - I had a 2nd degree tear and had to be stitched, where or to what extent I'm not too sure as that bit was more horrifying to me than labour. I've had no issues that I'm aware of healing wise and have stopped bleeding but haven't noticed any coming out and the HV said tonight it could be up to 3 months before some come out. Just wondering about exercise, tidying myself back up there (been too scared in case I pull a stitch out or something) and yes, doing the deed as I'm absolutely desperate! Quite why I feel like that this soon I don't know but hey..
What was your experience with stitches and should I wait to discuss with a Dr before I do any of the above?
