Intimacy After C-Section

I am 25 post C-section & I'd like to know if it is OK to be intimate with my DP again.

My parents are having the baby tomorrow & I really want to connect with him again. I feel like I want to try doing the deed but don't know if safe.

I am still experiencing lochia which is brown atm so I'm obviously still bleeding.

I'm not bothered about full on sex but do you think we'll be OK to try other things as long as nothing is inserted vaginally?

Do you think it will be painful for my wound if we did?

I just really feel ready & I'm missing the closeness that's all.

Both times I was told that I could have sex again whenever I felt ready; I waited 6 weeks as I wanted to have my 6 week check first but it’s when you feel ready although I would say that the first time I had to ask DH to stop as the pressure on my scar frightened me. Starting with something that isn’t full sex would be fine and probably a good idea
