Frustrated

My baby is 12 weeks old on Friday. I don't know what is going on with me. Had about 2 weeks of lochia after she was born, then a week of orange discharge. Then 2 weeks of nothing. Then 4 weeks of on off pink, brown and red spotting and sometimes period type bleeding. Then a week of nothing again but had all the usual signs of a period starting, PMT the last few days, slight period cramps, but I'm just getting light spotting again. My periods used to start out heavy then taper off, now it's just light bleeding but I only stopped a week or so ago. I'm really frustrated as I suffer from anxiety and I'm thinking I'm menopausal

Are you using any contraception?

Yes. I've come on my period quite heavy now. First proper one since baby was born in December

Is it hormonal contraception? That can affect your cycle too

No, just condoms. This period is awful, flooding out of me and big clots and I'm getting through loads of pads. I am getting hot and cold and bad shooting cramps in legs and side

I have had similar to what you explained on off bleeding so annoying I had my proper period 5 weeks pp it lasted 2 weeks and was so heavy my second period so heavy too and lasted 8 days my next one due in a week hoping will be a bit better was going through a pad a hour for two days! I also spot in between it's so so annoying I'm on mini pill so believe it's tht x

I have been given tranexamic acid but since taking it I have had vomiting, awful stomach cramps and terrible watery diarrhoea all day :(

What did they give you that for sorry?

It's supposed to help lessen heavy bleeding I think

For the heavy bleeding. It helped with that but gave me a very upset stomach
