C section wound pain

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this with their c section wound

I’m 8 days PP and the actual wound itself is healing nicely, very minimal pain etc

However about halfway between the wound and my belly button I keep getting a sort of stinging/burning pain if I move a certain way (twisting mainly). It sort of feels like it’s in the skin but I can’t tell if it’s the inside layers of the section?

It’s not painful more uncomfortable sometimes...midwife is coming Monday so I’ll
Mention it then but wondered if anyone else had this

All the layers are sewn up separately. If you’ve got stitches pulling or tight on one of the inner layers you might feel this as you sit up or twist. I had it for several months till all the stitches dissolved inside. Even now (youngest is 5) I sometimes get a weird crappy pain inside if I try a crunch type sit up.

It’s normal I think ...

I had something similar to this in the first week as I had a bit of swelling and fluid build up inside. It was causing some pressure and aggravating what felt like the nerves in the area, causing a stinging type pain occasionally. It settled down after a few days, but definitely worth a mention to your midwife on Monday. Hope you feel better soon! 🙂

Thanks both! Hopefully it’s all normal. Terrified of over doing it and setting my recovery back so wasn’t too sure. I have also picked my toddler up a couple of times so hoping this hasn’t done any damage.

Did either of you have a sort of lump under the wound itself? I’ve got one under one end of it that I’ve only just noticed

I’ve not had a c section before so can’t tell what’s normal

@hales243 that’s sort of what it feels like
