Body aches

Since having my baby 4 months ago my whole body has got progressively more achy. It is worst first thing in the morning but there is an ache in all my limbs all day now. I am wondering what it is caused by and whether it will go away as I start to get more sleep or stop breastfeeding.

Has anyone else had this? I am quite old will be 40 this year so is this just aging? I am doing all the night feeds but go to bed early and don't feel too sleepy just really achy. I am getting more exercise than before baby as he only naps walking around in a sling. Any ideas?

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after a traumatic birth with ds, all my joints ached & I felt permanently exhausted. Consultant confirmed that trauma & shock had caused it.

Thanks for your reply Nat and sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Can I ask with Fibromyalgia does it come on gradually and are there any other symptoms? I don't feel that tired (given the lack of sleep) just achy. I am wondering if it is linked to breastfeeding depleting my body although I am taking a supplement.

Have you had any blood tests? I was tested for everything & when they came back nearly all clear was referred to rheumatology where I got the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia

Hi no tests yet. Is there a test for Fibromyalgia or is it a case of ruling everything else out?
