Sertraline for PND

I have a 6 month old daughter and recently lost my mum. Nothing prepares you for losing a parent and add to that all the emotion that comes with becoming a mum I just feel so fragile and emotional and low.

I've had some counseling since having my LO but went back to the docs today because I'm still struggling with low mood, not feeling able to get out of the house and just not feeling myself etc. So she prescribed me sertraline.

I'm just worried about taking it while having to look after my daughter as she doesn't sleep very well so I already feel like a bit of a zombie and heard that sertraline can make you feel worse before you get better. I don't have family nearby and my OH works quite a busy job so him taking time off if I need extra support isn't really a option. So don't really know what to do. I just want to stop feeling this way.

Anyone else have experience of taking sertraline with a baby? Would love some hand holding that things are going to get better as at the moment I just can't see a way out of this.
