Self help for postnatal depression.

I had my daughter 7 weeks ago and was started on anti depressants 6 weeks ago as I had severe baby blues and a history of postnatal depression with previous children. Noticed an improvement after a couple of weeks but last 10 days have been tough again...(just started first postnatal period so not sure if it's normal for worsening of depression in week before this). Anyhow wondering if rather than increase my meds anyone could suggest other ways to help...ie. books to read...vitamins or supplements to take or any advice. I've my 6-8 week check with gp on fri and am considering asking to increase my meds dosage if still feeling low but hoping now I've come on my period it might settle?
