Tubal ligation

I am trying to find out more information regarding tubal ligation if possible.

So the back ground I have 7 amazing boys and after the birth of 6th son I was told Not to have any more children due to complications during delivery and I could die next time. Anyway I became pregnant and my consultant told me that the advice I had been given previously was incorrect it I was still so scared and after a lot of thought we went ahead with the pregnancy and asked about tubal ligation I think that was mainly to the fear I would die due to what I had been told. Nothing was ever explained about the tubal ligation I asked would I feel different what would happen and I was told no we are in there for the c section you won't feel any different. Now this was nearly a year ago I do feel different and have from the moment I had my tubal ligation.

  • pain /cramps along my c section scar and my lower pelvic area all the time
  • hot flushes unlike anything I have had before
  • feeling not like myself (can't really explain that)
  • stupidly I didn't realise there was still a risk of pregnancy *bloody discharge (sorry for tmi)

Are you supposed to be told of any side effects or complications so an informed decision can be made.

I wish I would have know these were somethings to consider if I had known I wood not have the tubal ligation. I do believe if I had been told this I would have had chance to rethink things but I was so on edge the whole pregnancy.
