Still feeling uncomfortable 15 weeks later

I gave birth to my DD 15 weeks ago now, horrible labour, 3 day latent phase, epidural, forceps and 3rd degree tear with huge blood loss. The first week or so were horrendous and I felt like I’d been hit by a bus and felt somewhat traumatised by it all.

I’m now 15 weeks on and still not feeling right down there, I still feel quite uncomfortable and heavy when I’ve been on my feet for long, and also hurts down there when I lean over as if everything is stretched and rubbing and gaping Blush When I sit down my bum cheeks are so sensitive, almost like I am sitting directly on the bones with no padding.

I was automatically referred to a gynae because of the tear, she said it has all healed really well and after crying that I thought I had a prolapse she checked and said I do have a very mild bladder prolapse which I have a physio referral for starting next week. Although she did say there is no point having surgery for this as the success rates are very low. She also said that its about getting used to a new sort of normal and as its all been stretched I can’t expect it to be how it was before, but then you read so much online about people bouncing back after the birth and not being any different. I can’t even contemplate having sex as everything just looks and feels so horrible down there.

I feel so down about this, after 4 years of fertility treatments, then a horrible high risk pregnancy and now this... I just want to feel good in my body again Sad
