Is it normal to have cramps on day 6? They seem to have started again on the day my milk came in. But when I read online it says they should only last 2-3 days. I had a c section x

Hi.

I think every ones recovery is different but Are they period like cramps? Might be your uterus contracting?

I had a section 6.5 weeks ago - i remember slight cramping.

How are you getting on other than that? Keeping up with your meds and getting about ok? X

It’s normal to cramp and bleed slightly more during breastfeeding and when your milk comes in. It’s a good thing but do keep an eye on your blood loss. If in doubt contact your health visitor

I had cramps whilst breastfeeding in the first two months, I remember it was such a weird feeling. It didn’t last long though.

I have read that it's common while breastfeeding but I'm not. It did still coincide with the day my breast milk came in x
