had my baby just over 7 weeks ago , quite a normal birth had to have a few stitches but apart from that it was a pretty straight forward birth I didn't bleed that heavy after birth and it all seemed normal, I believe my period stared around 5 and half weeks postpartum, it started of quite light , then was heavy for a day or so then got lighter again , I am still spotting now , not much at all but I am also having period type pains and lower back back , I am an awfully worried and always think there is something serious wrong with me I am just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences to this ? I had my check up last week and my Dr said bleeding can last longer first time around I had sex witj my husband around the 4 week stage and it wasn't to bad , and we used protection so I am not pregnant Any advice will be appreciated thank you

Hi @KACM just bumping this thread for you so hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along with some advice soon.

We've also moved it over to the Postnatal health section. Flowers

Hi @KACM

Did this just resolve on its own?
