Hi,

I’m searching for a thread and I don’t know if it’s in here or women’s health

It’s about postpartum pelvic floor issues causing incontinence and TMI warning....it for both kinds of incontinence

I’ve seen it mentioned previously but for the life of me I can’t find it anywhere (doesn’t help I can’t remember what it’s called). I know it’s a long running thread and has a fairly established group of posters offering support for these issues

I need to speak to them as I’m after some advice and they’re the only ones who I think can relate

If anyone knows the thread I’m on about please can you point me in the right direction?

Hi there,

I'm 7 weeks postpartum amd I have the same issue as well. I had a delivery by forceps so I had an episiotomy which still hasn't healed. The worst part for me is passing gas in public which is extremely embarrassing! I've been referred to see a physio but that's not till October because there's nothing available before that which is extremely disheartening. But keep doing your pelvic exercises and speak to your gp about referring you to a physio! Also check YouTube for videos Smile hope this helps x

The thing is I’m looking for that thread as I wanted some real life experiences from people who have gone on to have a second baby and the birth choice they had because of their existing pelvic floor issue

see a women's health physio or look up Mummy MOT.

I’ve got myself booked in to see a women’s physio but I’m more after other women’s advice regarding second childbirth after having the delightful side effects of a forceps delivery the first time

My first birth was back to back, resulting in my DS getting stuck so every time I pushed he just didn’t move. I was pushing for about 4 hours in the end with nothing happening

I ended up with a forceps delivery and its left my pelvic floor weak, with fecal urgency issues. I’m absolutely terrified what a second birth is going to do

So I suppose my question is....for anyone that’s had a similar situation, would you try for a vaginal delivery or c section the second time?

I was adamant I wanted a c section but the pregnancy has been earlier than planned so my DS will only be 18 months. I’m not sure what to do
