Hi I'm 14 days pp my bleeding keeps stopping then it starts again bright red it's not majorly heavy.. I had a bigish clot today (TMI looked like a piece of liver 😕 sorry) phoned the midwife she said not to worry unless soaking through pads or fever ect and said if it was part of the placena it's better out than in. has anyone else bleed this long after birth?

I did for about a month.....few days break and then my period!!!

Mine easily lasted 2 weeks and that was after a c section when they ‘Hoover you out’ then a little gap and a very long period Angry Try not to worry, everything is a bit different for a while but it settles

I remember with DD I was bleeding for 8 weeks pp! It was very light most of the time. But I did have some clots around 3 weeks pp which I rang the doctor about. Again they didn't seem concerned. At my 6 week check up she just said are you sure it's not your period now. But it was never like a period it was very light plus I was bf.
I wasn't over worried at the time. But have since seen similar posts to yours and very few say it lasted that long. Now wondering if it was normal .

You did the right thing calling the mw. This happened to me last week and because I’d had a pph and other clots previously they readmitted me for antibiotics and a scan (precautionary). A week later and bleeding is still in fits and starts - some days i have almost none, then suddenly a small ‘gush’. If your clots are smaller than a plum and you’re not flooding pads try not to worry, but if you are then call back for more advice

My lo is 3 weeks old today and I'm still bleeding 🙄 is more like an end of period brown spotting now, so hopefully will stop soon, midwife told me I could be bleeding for anywhere upto 6 weeks and not to worry unless I start to feel unwell or bleed suddenly gets heavy again.

I think you did the right thing calling for reassurance.

6 weeks both times for me. You’ll find it gets lighter then you’ll exert yourself and get a heavier flow. Worry if it’s smelly or changes colour.

I bled for four months after DC1. Despite an a&e trip and various GP visits and a gynaecologist appt, they all kept saying it’s nothing, it just happens, it will stop eventually.

Like has already been said unless there’s a fever or issues with your vitals then there’s nothing to worry about.
