How long after your csection did you stop taking any painkillers ie paracetamol and ibuprofen?

I was taking them for 3-4 weeks. Then just as and when I felt I needed them

About 10 days for me but took them as and when needed after that

For DC1 it was about 3 weeks of taking them every 4 hours. (Emergency C-section)

DC2 - about 5 days. (Planned C-section)

Took everything going while I was still in hospital and once home it was paracetamol for a couple of weeks. Had difene home with me but couldn't take it - wrecks my stomach.

Thanks guys, I guess it varies from person to person. I'm on day 13 and still taking them regular

Don't rush yourself. If you still need pain relief then take it. I'm sure I was taking painkillers for so long the first time was partly due to me trying to 'rough it out' and go without for a few days early on.

You'll be pain free before you know it. Flowers

I stopped taking the paracetamol once I was discharged so 3 days and finished the 7 day course of diclofenac. I had very little pain after the first couple of days though so if you're still in pain then keep taking them

I done 7 days but id say keep taking them for as long as you need to! X
