Constipation In 3 month old

(Sorry if anyone finds this screamish)!

Anyone have any home remedies to help constipation suitable for babies? My 3 month old has it slightly, he strains when he wants to open his bowels. Sometimes it's in little pellets then sometimes it's normal. I don't want to take him to the doctors at the moment as it's not all the time so wanted to try and help it myself if possible.

I recall my friends DS being like this when he was little and I'm pretty sure that she gave him prune juice and sips of water - even at that age - bit due to his age I would check.

How is he other than that? Is it just the constipation?

Formula or breast fed?

He is bottle fed has been since birth.

He's brilliant other than the constipation.

Health visitor recommended a little orange juice in boiled water to soften stools when my DD was under one but I don't remember exactly how old she was.

I will call my HV and ask about orange juice.

I wouldn't give orange juice at that age. A little cool boiled water is sometimes recommended
