Low supply/common cold

Hello

I’ve come down with a cold today (the 7 week old little one came down with a cold yesterday) and both the little one’s appetite and my milk supply have dramatically reduced. I went from pumping 160ml yesterday to not being able to get a drop out today. The little one is getting agitated as he can’t seem to get anything out of me.

Is this normal? Will the supply restore itself once I get better? I’m trying to pump while he is sleeping but I can’t get anything out at all.

Firstly, how much you can pump is absolutely no indication of how much you are producing, so please don't worry about that.

I would keep offering and try sone breast compressions while you feed and avoid cold treatments like lemsip, paracetamol is fine

Are you having decongestants? Some say that has an affect on supply.
