Hi, I am a first time mum and my girl is 15 days old, night time is something i dread, after a feed she seems in discomfort wriggling and pulling her legs up and she makes these noises, the noises are similar to grunts, she also sounds congested, wheezing and sometimes gasping. It gets worse when we put her in her moses. We wind her for a while and we have put her moses mattress on a slight incline. We feel helpless and very alone, can anyone help?

Wow my six week old does exactly the same thing, she was diagnosed with silent reflux and is on ranitidine for the next six weeks.

It sounds like grunting/coughing/chuffing/ half being sick/small crying sounds and usually starts just after I put her down at night, but funnily enough I don't hear it during the day.

I'm hoping she grows out of it
