Managing sex after having a baby

How do people manage to have sex after a baby?

My DS is 12 weeks old and since having him my husband and I have had sex twice. Wanted it a lot more though. I'm EBF, baby refuses to sleep in own cot so we co-sleep (which in a way is good as we get decent nights sleep every night).

My DS only sleeps in my arms and if I put him down he'll wake up in 5 mins screaming.

I'm slightly worried my marriage is suffering as I'm missing that closeness with my DH and I know he misses it too. Feels like we're house mates and not husband and wife.

I guess I would just like to know I'm not alone (unless I am) and any suggestions on how to improve this as I'm missing my grown up relationship

Oh god you’re definitely not alone! My DS is 5.5 months and we still haven’t DTD

I think twice in 12 weeks is amazing. I'm not sure we DTD twice in 12 months Smile

I feel a bit like that as she is a bad sleeper. We get about half an hour of alone time together each day and we don't have anyone local to babysit regularly. I'm just hoping she will sleep better eventually.
