Postpartum period

I gave birth 6 months ago and have not yet had a period since as I have been EBF, although I am now starting to wean my baby. For the last two days I have had extremely painful period type cramps but no period. I assume it’s just on its way but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar? My periods were always fairly light pre baby.

Hello, yes I found my first period after pregnancy wasn't great; painful and I felt really emotional. They do seem to have improved though which is positive. I think it's all a part of our bodies going back to normal etc. hope that helps?

Really helpful, thank you! I’m definitely more emotional as well. Glad yours have improved, I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
