Newborn growth and clothes sizing

DD is 6 weeks and has had a growth spurt-none of her 0-3 month babygrows fit anymore after just moving her up from newborn/1 month last week Shock Have some from Jojo, Next, M&S and she’s busting at the seams of them all. Jojo seem the most generously sized - any other makers I should look at for 3-6 months? Should I expect her to keep growing so quickly? DH and I both have tall families but didn’t anticipate she’d get so big so quickly!

Just expect her to keep growing. By the time she turns 2 she will be half her adult height.

Babies grow at an alarming rate! My DS has always been on 98th centile and we didn't worry too much about clothing being true to his age, but bought cheaper clothes from ASDA / H&M etc, or bundles from eBay, Facebook selling sites.

Vest extenders make them last a little longer, and separates last longer than all in ones / babygros / dresses. I know someone who cut all the feet off the babygros to make them last longer but to be honest that wasn't for me!

My baby is tall, the width of clothes was fine but everything got short very quickly. Footless onesies or dungarees plus socks will last longer. Especially as the weather will get warmer and it doesn’t matter if they end up being too short!

My youngest was in 3-6 from 4 weeks. She was long with a long torso so the vests and grows quickly became too short in the body.
Just don't buy too many in next size. Sometimes the boy's ones seem roomier.

Tip for future is to buy tunic style tops to use with leggings rather than t shirt tops. You get a lot longer use out of them.

Thanks for the tips. She’s big around too so even cutting the feet off of the babygrows means she’s still filled out the belly! Will have a look at bundles and purchase a few of next size. Cxx
