3 month old with bad cough help!!!

My 11weeks old son has a cold and a bad cough.
He's had it for 3 days now. He keeps having coughing fits and sometimes struggles to gwt a breath in as he's stressing out.
I gave him infant paracetamol last night and some more this morning but I m not sure what else to do.
I was thinking of taking him to the drs tomorrow if it's not any better?
Should I or is this normal and will just eventually run its course.

He hasn't got a temperature and seems fine when he's not coughing

I'd take him to the GP to be honest, he is still so little. My DC is recovering from the RSV virus which seems to be doing the rounds and it started as a nasty cough but developed into a really bad wheeze and needing oxygen struggling to breathe. If he is pulling in around his chest or working harder to breathe he needs to be seen.

I'd phone 111 and get an out of hours appointment with a Dr this morning. They'll want to see him.
