How do I go about getting my hormones checked out?

I'm 9 months PP. I suspect I may have a hormonal issue or a problem with my thyroid.

I've gained 2stone since giving birth - whereas I gained nothing while pregnant (and I ate so many cakes) I eat healthily and exercise so can't work out why I'm gaining.

I'm SO tired all the time, I fall asleep at work, in the car (parked) and need daytime naps just to get through the day, my baby is a good sleeper and sleeps 6.30-7am so its not that he's keeping me up.

I do suffer from anxiety and I had PND for a while, so guess that could contribute to the tiredness. I just feel gross, no energy and sluggish.

I have a doctors appointment this evening but I'm not sure how to ask them to test me for this? Do I just come out and say I want my thyroid checked, or explain all the above? Does anyone know if theres a general hormone test that can be done?

Ask for your thyroid to be tested. Also vitamin d, ferretin (iron levels in case you are anemic) also vitamin b12.
Or ask what could be causing the tired ness and see what he says.
Good Luck.
Also for the iron if it is low then ask for an infusion. Iron supplements can take ages to have an effect or even don’t work if your some one that does absorb iron
