I had vaginal delivery with vacuum and episiotomy. Initial recovery was brutal and I had an infection in the wound. That's now healed and the scar itself seems fine. But I'm still extremely tender around my whole area. It's especially noticeable when getting up from standing and when walking. It almost feels like a weight in my vagina or something dragging me down. Is it likely a pelvic floor issue? It's hard to describe how it feels but it does feel like pressure and heaviness down there. Is this normal? Just want to get back to being more active bit feel so limited!

I felt awful after 3 weeks, exactly what you describe, I had forceps and episotomy, so very similar circumstances. I even went to the docs about it who examined me and said, in the gentlest way, to not expect too much too soon and to keep doing pelvic floor exercises. A week later there was a big difference, and now I'm almost 8 weeks it feels almost back to normal.
