Episiotomy

Hiya!
I’m 9 days pp and I delivered my little girl by forceps with an episiotomy.
I came across that my wound was weeping last Friday and went to the GP and got a weeks worth of 2 different antibiotics, today they’re still weeping on day 3 of antibiotics. I’ve noticed some slight gaping and the midwife checked yesterday and said that it will naturally heal...
My question is has anyone has this before? I’ve read a few things and seen it’s quite common. I feel dirty knowing there infected and have started going for slay baths just enough to soak the area for 5 minuets.
Do you think the antibiotics will shift the infection by Friday? I’m really worried it doesn’t and I’m left with a horrible vagina.🤷🏼‍♀️😩

I had the same birth. My stitches fully came apart by day 5 with an infection. I was left to heal naturally. It does heal and it looks as normal as it can do (after giving birth!) but it does take longer than if still stitched. Just take it easy and keep it clean ( I used to pee in the shower using the shower head to dilute the pee.)
