I am 5 weeks post partum and my bleeding seems to be getting heavier.
Is this normal?
I'm not feeling unwell and thankfully I'm on iron tablets.

Hi, sorry you're going through this. Get up to the doctors. I had similar, continuing heavy bleeding after DD1. The doc didn't take me seriously though and said monitor it and come back. Eventually when I did and she sent me for a scan it turned out I had retained placenta that needed to be removed first thing the next morning. This was 14 weeks later Shock and I didn't feel unwell either but they were quite concerned. Whacked me on antibiotics. I wouldn't hesitate. Good luck, hope you get it sorted soon x

Thank you. Went to docs and she wasn't concerned. Sounds like it's my period that's started Confused

Oh right... yay for fertility! Well can't hurt to take extra care of yourself (if at all possible) at the moment anyway. Hope it all settles down again soon x

@namechangedbutneedadvice did you have a general anaesthetic or hysteroscopy? I went to the hospital today with same problem (I'm 10 weeks pp) and the scan showed retained placenta. They don't seem that concerned though - their first hysteroscopy slot is in two weeks?!
