Can bleeding stop and start?

Hi I am 13 days postpartum and I bled heavy for 8 days and on day 8 it was brownish and on day 9 it had stopped which I found odd it would stop so suddenly but was fairly happy about this, then I woke up this morning and it was heavy again. I don’t have any cramps though. Is this normal?

My midwife said that this is normal for the bleeding to go from light/heavy and vice versa. Just said as long as I'm not filling a pad an hour then it's fine

Sounds quite normal to me.

This is normal, especially if you’ve done any waking or been on your feet in general really. I went from heavy red and had a couple of days brown and not much at all and then bright red again/quite heavy and then nothing at all
