Is this normal?

My baby is 5 months old. He sleeps from around 10pm until 5am most days but I feel completely drained like so exhausted. I feel like I live most days in a zombie state. I have no energy to do anything at all.

Is this normal? I’m a first time mum so don’t know if this is just life now lol 😆

It really depends. Are you breastfeeding?

It might be worth a trip to your gp to check iron levels.

Well even if you go to bed when your child dies you are still only getting 7 hours sleep. My youngest gers a similar amount of sleep at the moment. I am exhausted.

I'd say not so normal really although I'd expect to be knackered. It's worth going to the drs to have your iron levels etc checked, you might be lacking in something which is why you feel so bad.

Don't get me wrong, 5 month olds are exhausting! But best to get your health checked.

I feel your pain @Tasha2106 my LO is nearly 7 months she goes to bed at 7pm and wakes at 12, 2, 4:30 then we get up at 6am. She only has 20 min naps during the day. One at 9am one at 1pm.....I am exhausted and the thought of going back to work soon makes my eyes burn with how tired I will be. DH works away so I'm all alone. I did go and get my iron checked because the lack of energy was ruining my days and I couldn't enjoy my LO. I was prescribed iron tablets and can definitely tell the difference x
