Postpartum bump

I had my baby boy by c section 15 days ago and I'm really struggling with how my body looks. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting to have my baby and go back to my pre pregnancy body afterwards (especially as I ended up having a V big baby!). Due to his size my bump was massive, so I accept the huge amount of stretch marks and I know the flap of skin which is currently covering the c section scar probably will never go away, but I still look a good few months pregnant. The bump decreased a lot but hasn't gotten any smaller in quite a while now, it's so depressing still wearing maternity clothes and looking pregnant. Could anyone put my mind at ease that it will eventually go? Did anyone's not go?

It’s only been two weeks! It should go eventually, although it is possible to get separation of the abdominal muscles which can leave you with a round belly. There are things that can help that, but now is not the time!

Concentrate on gently increasing your exercise levels with walking. Do not, repeat, do not do any form of abdominal exercise, sit up etc yet.

And congratulations!
