Post-section bleeding

FTM so really not sure if this is something to worry about or not.

I had an emergency section. Post partum bleeding lasted roughly three and a half weeks.

At 5+5 I started getting some blood when wiping. As my scar has been a tricky healer (skin opening "superficially" on one side, some bleeding when I occasionally catch it) I'm now worried that I've opened the scar internally or it's an infection.

Can someone please put my mind at rest?

Oh if it continues and is strange for you, then you should go see the doctor, but I had exactly the same and I was bleeding for 10 weeks after... maybe you just had a little break and now it's continuing?

Maybe TMI but if the blood is bright red then you should call NHS direct if it's usual post partum reddish brown you're probably ok.

It is red but I did wonder if it was AF, but I'm BFing.

Is it possible it's your period? I had mine nearly 6 weeks ago I bled for about 2-3 weeks on and off then stopped, then started again last week and it's def a period which I wasn't expecting as I am also bf. But if you're not sure and if you had issues with scar maybe worth calling docs or midwives see what they say as could be infection
