Kegal8?

Since having my daughter 18 months ago I've struggled with leaking😔

Not enough to soak through to outer clothes but if I don't wear a pad my knickers are damp/wet all the time and I feel like I have an odour.

I've come across the Kegal8 today and it has a lot of positive reviews, but I'm not sure what's hype or not, has anyone got one/used one and had success with these issues?

If you aren’t under the care of one already get referred to a Women’s Health physio. Your GP will sort that for you.

Again if you aren’t already doing do get pelvic floor exercising. The NHS squeezy app is good as it’ll explain how to do them, remind you to do them and counts you through doing them. View pelvic floor exercising as like brushing your teeth - something you need to do for the rest of your life.

A WH Physio should be able to diagnose why you are leaking and then help resolve it. They will also ensure you are performing your pelvic floor exercises correctly and teach you how to relax them between contractions. They can advise on lifestyle adjustments to help too.

I have a pelvitone which is the same as a Kegal 8 which I got through my physio. I only used it for short stints under her guidance and no longer use it now as it wasn’t helping with my specific problems. They are a lot of money for something that won’t necessarily help - I know when you read their website it sounds like it’ll be the answer to all your problems.

By way of background I had a 3b tear 17 months ago. I’ve been seeing my physio (under the NHS) since 4 weeks.

I absolutely recommend a pelvic floor physio and the squeezy app. The physio will teach you exactly how to do the exercises
