6months PP Implant & bleeding 5 weeks

Just wondered if anyone has experienced something similar? And what happened?

My son's 6 months old now and I got the implant 4 months ago, Ive had periods since having the implant and they seemed normal. But 5 weeks ago I thought I was having a normal period but it's lasted 5 weeks! I've been to the doctors and have been advised if I continue to bleed for another week i need to go back.

I have had a similar issue .sadly no answer or advice just sympathy. I got the implant after 12,week check .when I was on it before I didn't have any periods but now I'm having one every 2weeks or less and they are quite heavy . I don't want to come of it as I the pill doesn't work for me .
