Sorry for graphic(ish) photo. This has come up on my breast & appears to be getting larger, I'm feeling a bit concerned. Does anyone have any idea? My daughter is 8 months & exclusively breastfed? Thanks...

I am not sure OP - looks like it could be a bite. I am sure someone more knowledgable will come along in a minute.

Ouch that looks sore. I can't help but i hope it clears. Have you got any bite cream to apply?

It looks like a spot that’s got a little infected. Is it on the underneath of the breast?

I’d give it a good clean with antiseptic and keep an eye on it. If it’s expanding, or the breast tissue around it becomes sore or inflamed then it may be wise to seek treatment. Likewise any infection symptoms like fever etc.
I had a few like this and they all went with a bit of antiseptic and cleaning/airing.

Thank you for your responses. I don't think it's a bite from the look of it (the photo isn't great) it looks more like a burn or blister but not a water blister if that makes sense? It could well be an infected spot... its about 2 inches above the nipple & too the right side... only slightly tender when I touch it... saw it last week & thought nothing of it but sure it's grown which made me a bit worried! Wanted to see if anyone had experienced anything similar so thank you! X

I would go to the gp and just get it checked.

I bet these regularly on my boobs , I'm Breastfeeding currently . They end up being spots that never come to a head and just go after a couple of weeks

newcupcake that is so reassuring to hear, because that's exactly what it looks like spot with no head??! Thank you so much!
