Not stitched correctly after birth

Anybody else feel they wasn't stitched correctly after birth. My opening is alot wider than usual and i can see the perineal muscles. I had my baby 28 months ago, i felt embarrassed so haven't really shown anyone it since my 6 weeks check. I felt it was just due to my muscles been more spongy post Labour and thought it would mend itself with time and lots of pelvic floor exercises. However this has not been the case. I finally took the plunge and went to see the nurse practitioner at mt surgery yesterday. She said it is a very messy job and couldn't understand why the midwife has left me this way with the muscles showing.

She has now referred me to a gynaecologist. I am abit worried about what will happen next. I just want my lady parts back looking like they should. I would even consider surgery. I aren't having anymore children so the future isn't a worry

No advice but sympathy from me . My surgeon managed to sew in some hair and that's bad enough!

Did you have stitches?

At the time did it all heal well or was there a lot of pain while healing?

It sounds like a breakdown of tissue happened without being recognised?

I imagine they will offer you a repairing surgery.

I am so sorry this happened to you, lots of love OP. X

Yes there was alot of pain but i just dealt with it. I don't get pain now just a big feeling of pressure at times, especially at the time of my monthly cycle. And sex can be uncomfortable at times.

Most of all it looks awful and I'm so ashamed and embarrassed.
