Will PMS trigger my PND?

Have received help for PND and after 5 weeks on Sertaline felt my old self again. For a while I was almost still looking over my shoulder, worried each day it would come back, but that has stopped now. I am just living my life again and it's the biggest relief imaginable.

Before it kicked in and got better, it definitely got worse and my first period after the baby coincided with a terrible few days of PND. At the time I didn't associate the two as there were other signs it was the Sertaline (big side effects etc).

My health visitor mentioned PMS may trigger it again and my next period (the first whilst better) is approaching. I just wondered if anyone who has had PND and come out the other side experienced PMS triggering it again? Or if the Sertaline is doing its thing now and so I shouldn't notice any more issues than normal?

Hi.
I also take sertraline (150mg) but am on the progesterone only pill, but when I had a break I found that my hormones fought off my anti depressants and I got so emotional (whereas I’ve always felt so numb taking sertraline and previously citalopram and duloxetine). I did however find that a new anti depressant took a good few months before side effects eased, could this be just the tablets playing tricks maybe?
