Post birth period

I'm 10 weeks pp and I started my period again recently - and my goodness it's so heavy. I'm using maternity pads again and needing to change them frequently as I'm getting "gushes" when I move quick or stand up etc.

Is this normal?

I've not had any bleeding in 8+ weeks so could it just be the build up?

I feel so drained and I'm very pale. (Much like I was for the two weeks post birth) But I've no cramps etc.

I just came on to post a similar thread except my baby is 9 months! It's awful I actually started really panicking earlier but took some ibuprofen which is supposed to slow the flow - it did work thank goodness, as I was soaking through a pad an hour.
I'm hoping it's my hormones getting back to normal etc! Hoping someone else will be along soon with some better advice!

I think it is generally accepted that your first few periods post partum may be heavier.
Although after several months it may be worth getting some medical advice if things don't settle.
Also you may want to increase iron in your diet, by food choices or supplements, you're probably low if you have a heavy loss 💟
