Preeclampsia

Hello, I’m wanting to hear of any preeclampsia stories and how the birth went? I had DD 3 months ago and still struggling (mainly at night times) to understand it all!

I’m so lucky to have this little lady, especially after thinking there would be no chance of children. My pregnancy was normal, no problems until 38 weeks when I went to the midwife appointment and was measuring at 42 weeks! Blood pressure was fine. I had a scan to make sure there was no fluid around DD and all was clear, she was just a big baby! I got induced on her due date and was in labour straight away (within an hour). After being stuck at 5-6cm for hours and contractions every 30 seconds, I had a seizure. I don’t really remember much, but waking up surrounded by doctors, my partner, mother and sister as I was on the floor laying in blood due to drips coming undone. I was rushed off for emergency csection and was in hospital for a few days. I’m still struggling thinking what could of happened!

I know I am so lucky to have DD, but it has definitely put me off having another baby. Any more stories?

Are you sure you had pre-eclampsia (your thread title)? Usually the blood pressure would be high, not fine, if you had PE.
