Bleedin 8 weeks post c section

Happy new year all!
I am 8 weeks post c section and was having minimal discharge til the 6 or 7 weeks. Second day now that I have heavy-ish bleeding with clots, bright red and I can feel it coming out everytime I move. I started having little stabbing pains on my lower abdo as well.
I am hesitant to go to A&E as I have been readmitted twice I don't really want to be admitted again. :(
Anyone had same experience?

You need to be careful about retained placenta. Do you have a temperature at all?

Better safe than sorry. Give 111 a call. They can assess and send you to a&e if necessary. They can give you antibiotics if it’s minimal or a d&c if it’s more and that’s a day surgery.

How big are the clots?

Does your maternity hospital have a post-natal emergency room?

Whatever the equivalent is where you live, is be contacting them and expecting up go in. Could be an infection which needs to be dealt with immediately.

Nope no temperature, clots range from tiny dots and biggest is 2 inches approx.
I think they have maternity triage up to 6 weeks post partum.

Oh hello! Still bleeding quite heavily but had blood tests done and a transvaginal utz and apparently it's just my period coming back. Oops! Thank you for checking tho!
