Hi all, just wondering if anyone can give me advice. Ever since the birth of my dd 9 months ago I have suffered terribly with pain when going for a bowel movement followed by a bit of blood on the tissue. At first it was absolute agony, worse than giving birth again! I've somehow been able to manage it through taking movicol and drinking lots of water. However it still flares up occasionally. At first I thought it was an anal fissure but now I'm beginning to think it's hemmorrhoids. I'm getting sick of it now tbh. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips would be massively appreciated. Smile

Have you been to the doctors to have them investigate?

I developed terrible prolapsed hemmorhoids in the last month of my pregnancy and the pain was unreal. Nearly 3 weeks PP and they are still there but I'm finding that upping my fibre and water intake with the additional help of lactulose seems to work...

I'm in a similar situation but my baby is 15 Months.
My tips are:
Drink plenty of warm water.
Go to docs for suppositories/fibrogel/laxido.
Warm baths regularly and ideally after each bowel movement. Wash with coconut oil, not soap.
Use wet wipes rather than tissue.
Go to the loo with your feet raised.
Pelvic floor exercises.
Prunes everyday.

However, I still get flare ups. And I too am fed up.
