I gave birth almost four weeks ago. My bleeding stopped completely just before 3 weeks post partum.
I started desogestrel and within three days of being on it I started bleeding again. It trigger migraines for me so was advised to stop immediately yet the bleeding has continued.
It's very much like period blood, looks and smells different to lochia but not an offensive smell, just that different kind of smell iykwim. Is it likely to be my period this early?
It's very heavy now and there are some small clots too. I do have a dull ache in my lower pelvis like a very mild period pain.
NHS website states you can start mini pill immediately after birth but I'm worried I started it too early and triggered this bleeding episode even though I only took it for four days.
