Leaking milk

My LG is coming up for 9 weeks and we are ebf. I don't seem to have had any problems with supply, though she has got a bit frustrated cluster feeding in the evenings.

I thought supply was meant to start settling down around now, but I seem to be leaking more than ever - is there anything at all I can do or do I have to just put up with it? I'm finding breast pads really uncomfortable, especially at night Confused

Everything sounds perfectly normal to me and that you’re producing plenty of milk. It also sounds like you’re doing a brilliant job with your baby. Personally I think nine weeks is early for things to settle. As breast milk works on a demand and produce system, you will sometimes leak, after lots of sucking. You’re doing the very best for your baby, so well done you.

I think supply "settles" a bit later - 12 weeks rings a bell? What kind of pads are you using? I think you can also get shells which may work better overnight?

I'm still leaking at 6 months! I think some of us are just leakier than others. I've given up with pads - they irritate me. I just shove a muslin down my top when I start feeling damp and wear a big coat to hide wet patches when I'm out - glam I know!

I leaked until a couple of weeks after I stopped feeding, around 8-9 months! Everyone's different.

Bah, so I can potentially look forward to several more months of it Hmm

I'm just using disposable pads at the moment - the lansinoh ones. Maybe I should look for something better? Are the shells like lilypadz or something different? I have lilypadz but they make a huge mess when I take them off so don't use them that often...

At night could you just sleep on a towel?
