BF and periods

So I am exclusively breastfeeding, started mini pill 10 days ago, baby is 8 and a half weeks old. But I seem to have started my period, or at least have some spotting. Should I be concerned? I thought you didn’t get periods when bf!?

They definitely do come back, they're just delayed I've found.

However, I went on the mini pill at 6 weeks with DS2 and that is most likely what is causing the spotting (breakthrough bleeding)

In my experience, it's the worst contraception - i hated it, bled for the whole duration of being on it (8 months)

My periods returned 28 days after DS was born. He is BF. X
