Is mix feeding causing tummy problems?

Hi there,
I have a small baby she is 6 weeks and mix-fed for a combination of health problems issues I did not manage to get my supply up. She goes on the breast at every feed but she soon afterwards needs more and drains 100-120 ml of formula.
Now she has started bringing up milk , at most feeds she will throw up quite a bit and seems unconfortable and fussy, then desperate to feed even more. Has also a lot of gas and farts and burps quite a lot. I have been trying to space the feeds and make sure she doesn't overfeed but don't want her to go hungry. Could the mix feeding cause issues? I read that they get digested in a very different way and not sure what to think. If i stop the bf then that will be it asni will loose the small supple i currently have and i was trying to give her what i can for the time being. However don't want to cause upset stomach. The hv said i could try a stay-down milk buf i am concerned about giving thickeners ... she take hipp organic formula and uses dr browns bottles. Any thoughts? Thank you

My baby was mix fed from 6 weeks (she was premature so was still little at that stage). For the first few weeks of bottle feeding I used to stop her a couple of times during her bottle to wind her or just to slow her down as she was drinking it so fast due to it coming out much quicker than breastfeeding and I think her tummy needed the time to catch up/settle when I would pause. For us that helped with the bringing up milk and making sure she’s winded really well. I don’t think the actual formula was causing it, more the bottles.
