When do periods return

I gave birth 7 months ago, EBF for 4 months and baby has been on formula plus 1 breastfeed per day for 2 months now.
I am on the pill but havent had my period yet. Shouldn't it be back by now?

How long did it take you to get your period back? We'd like to try for a second one soon so I'd like to get in tune with my body...

Thanks!

It's the same as the answer to "how long is a piece of string" unfortunately.

Despite exclusively breastfeeding all three of mine, each time my periods returned at less than 2 months after the birth.

Mine took 6 months - around the time I stopped b/f and went back to work. My GP was convinced I was pregnant again, but no.

As above, everyone's body is different. It's taken almost a year for my periods to return and they are so regular it's quite frustrating. Hopefully your body will be back to its normal self soon

Different for everybody after every pregnancy, and feeding approach and relationship definitely plays a role. I EBF and got mine back, regular as clockwork, at 9 months pp when baby started to eat more solids.
