Hi everyone,

I'd love for you all to tell me what the best type of contraception is in your opinion...
I've just had a baby and obviously need to use some form of contraception and I'm not a huge fan of condoms.

I'm thinking about the pill/ implant/ injection but I've heard a few horror stories about each type which has got me thinking twice...

Any thoughts?

Have you used any hormonal contraceptives in the past?

I've only ever used the pill (combined initially, and now mini). Personally I like that you can just stop taking it if you have negative side effects, unlike other methods which would take time to wear off or need removing. Might be a good place to start unless you don't think you'll remember to take it.

Yeah I've tried the mini pill before and the combined pill and experienced weight gain, headaches and mood swings so I'm not too keen on trying that again.

I've just been reading about the patch, some good and bad reviews with that too!
