Periods after childbirth

Sorry for TMI. This is my 5th child so you'd think of know by now but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced awful periods after childbirth. I've never experienced it before but 5th DC is almost a year old and my periods have just started to return. They're awful. A tampon will fall out within 30 mins and I'm wearing 2 pads and have to change within 30 mins to an hour. Anyone else. Sorry again

Hi @Watbox
I've just come online to try & find someone in the same position as me! My LO is 10 months, first period started on Friday & im in agony! Not to mention so much bleeding like you are having 😢 it actually feels as bad as a miscarriage I had prior to this baby, 109% certain it's just a period though. Hope it lightens up soon xxx

Mine came back when my baby was about ten weeks, lasted a week and was fairly normal. It then randomly returned about three weeks ago and hasn't stopped, it's not heavy but it's just never ending!

Every time I think it's stopped, it starts up again.

Getting bored with it now!

I can't remember but it might be worth mentioning it to your HV or GP incase your need to get it checked out. You may also need more iron to prevent anaemia.
