Explosive green poop; is this normal?!

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but my 4 week old baby has just done the most epic explosive green poop - she literally didn't stop for several minutes - and whilst she seems fine in herself she hasn't done one like this before so I do t know if this is normal!

She's breastfed with the occasional bottle of formula to top her up as she's such a guts I can't fill her up!

Anyone else's baby done this or should I be concerned? Thanks in advance! Xx

Totally normal I think. We had all shades of green, including a spectacular neon colour. And usually lots of it. At first I Googled all possible causes, but DD was clearly fine and it just stopped again after about 8 weeks or so.

Sometimes green frothy poo can be s sign they are getting a little too much foremilk... the kellymom website is brilliant and can explain better than I can so may be worth a look

Yep. It may be too much foremilk. Leave her on one boob for longer - I was timing about 4hrs between boob swaps to ensure one was drained back to the hind milk before starting the other one.

Thank you all for responding, I feel a lot more calm and reassured! Flowers
