Hiya. Ive never posted before and not sure if im posting in the right place?🤔
Im just looking for some advice on whether or not it would be inappropriate for me to give my HV a little gift (chocs or flowers) & and thank u card? She has been an amazing support to me since my sons birth and even although I will still see her at developmental checks and or the baby clinic when I have him weighed, I wanted to get her a little something. Or will she think im a bit over the top?

Wow it's really nice to hear of a good supportive HV on MN! I would say a card and small bunch of flowers. She might be a bit surprised though. I dont think that happens very often. If I was you I would actually write to her immediate boss if you know who that is. Or the practice manager if they are connected to a gp surgery.

I'm sure she will think it is lovely to get a small gift. I work in a similar role and people occasionally get gifts and are really chuffed. I think she will be pleased she has made a difference and not think it is over the top.

Thank you so much for your replies! Shes coming to visit on Friday and im sure it will be her last visit as my son is alot better so I think il get her some flowers.
BendingSpoons im sad to hear its only "occasionally" that any gifts are given. If only people complimented as much as they complained!
